What is that blue stone in the photo?

It's a geode cut at a right angle and embedded in the edge of a blue concrete countertop. The kitchen countertops, created by Jeffrey Girard, P.E., for a homeowner in Durham, NC featured several different types of embedments placed exactly where the client wanted them. In fact, the client even visited the shop during the manufacturing process and placed the embedments in the forms herself.
